The Project Brief

In the competitive world of Construction, Hawkins Group of Companies has seen strong growth, the result being that they have doubled their turnover in the past 5 years. In 36 years of business their priority has always been to surpass customers’ expectations and to meet their objectives and their users’ needs.

This project had to result in a website that does the Hawkins Group justice, which their existing site definitely did not. The difficulty here was the huge range of clients and project budgets that Hawkins provide services for – on one hand they wanted to look big enough to attract major contracts from blue chip organisations, on the other, they didn’t want to alienate local businesses and individuals.

The solution was to design a site that conveyed a professional and international image, but at the same time held content in the form of case studies, which showed small, large and anything in between project sizes. We also made sure that each sector of their business was clearly identifiable through colour and imagery, which, in our opinion, resulted in a smart but colourful looking site.


With 5 different sectors to this business, organising the content effectively was paramount.

We uploaded and configured all the website content for this project meaning once the design phase was over, we were left to it and delivered a finished site a few weeks later.
